Strange yet haunting love songs . . .

This one goes out to everyone who thinks Thomas Dolby could only sing "She blinded me with sciiience . . . ."

Fatigue is getting me this week. Thank god for Minute Maid Lemonade and Gilbey's. All I need now is a seat at the Chestnut Tree Cafe . . . .

Dolby's up there in cult figure status with Brian Eno, but I am held back from a full appreciation of his work by a senseless aversion to pretetious beret-wearing men. Something to do with my French childhood, no doubt.

Indeed, FE, strange and haunting, good one. Sorry to hear you're a bit drained.

I've reserved a seat for you in the Chestnut Tree...the next Gilbey's is on me.

and the next bottle is on me.

Sorry about the Python rambling, but they really helped screw up my world view on society. God love 'em for it too!

No apologies necessary on the Python comments.

The beauty of it is that nothing's sacred, that everything is worth laughing about or teasing.

And geez, if we don't have that, we're dead.

I've gotta bottle in the vault for ya in Vancouver...but not Gibley's. Bombay Sapphire, if I may be forgiven.

My friends happen to have inherited a space that has a vault going back to goldrush times. And they're willing to put a bottle or two in there for buddies.

It is certainly hard to outrun your 'new wave' image no matter what you do. This reminds me of Joe Jackson rerouting his soul train down the jazz line.

I still wish that I could remember these songs without including the video??? That's progress.

blogspot.com/is off on a nostalgic 'trip' to the zenith of modern Music. I thought that you might appreciate his reminiscent accolades of Liverpudlians and travellers to the dark side of the moon.

Oh the memories...She Blinded Me With Science was one of the songs ny high school band would play during football games.

I'm tired to...wanna pass me a glass? My kids are all in bed, and my husband is conked out too. I am the only one still up. I guess I'm not that tired then, huh?

Hey Fronty, I have nothing to say except hi and here, in your honour, is today's avatar.

Tomorrow: Who knows? I'm searching for an identity...
