I forgot today is St. Paddy's Day. Just as well - I'm as Irish as Paddy's pig anyway.
At another weekly where I worked years ago, one of my co-workers fancied himself the defender of Irish culture and tradition. He probably would have gotten his rear kicked thirty ways to County Cork at a Boston St. Patrick's Day parade. Just to keep him in his place, I'd wear orange on 3/17 and remind him that loose threads were called Irish pennants and not Welsh pennants for a reason.
Seriously, happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone but the posers.

No time for plastic Paddies either. Amazing how many cite Irish ancestry for one day of the year when in reality nobody in the UK actually needs an excuse to get wrecked.

C'mon, two ELO songs on two commercials in 2005 and 2006 - that has to count for something. Even if they did come from a truly commercial piece of trash album.
But you are right - why ruin a perfectly good drunken binge with green beer and a fake green top hat or plastic kelly green bowler.
I thought you deserved a comment even if your musical taste is somewhat suspect!
